A sumptious evening bag featuring free motion machine embroidery on solvy wash away plastic. Heavily embellished with applique, exotic fibres, braids, hand embroidery and beading. The hand made cords are finished with embroidered drop pom-poms.

You can not beat the feeling of working with natural fibres especially wool & silk. Having lived in the sub-tropics for years I have transferred my passion for spinning & knitting to felting. It is just too hot for those wooly jumpers. I am continually experimenting with mixing fibres & fabrics so WATCH THIS SPOT!

POPPY CUSHION

A front panel of hand made woollen felt. Painting with Merino wool of various greens, silk tops for leaves and silk yarns for stalks and embroidery. Pre-felted shapes for the poppy heads. Silk & organza ribbon for definition and side border embellishment. Free motion machine embroidery for leaf definition. Backed with silk dupionni with same silk corded and ruched sides. Button closure. Size: 40cm square.

LANDSCAPE PANEL

A hand felted panel of Merino wool, silk tops, woollen fibres and pre-felted shapes to form the Sun and mountain ranges. The joy of painting with fibre is marvellous. I have made hedgerows with commercial knobbly wools, lace as closer hedges and Colour Streams exotic silk threads and ribbons to stitch a glorious field of fun flowers. The flower stalks have been laid down by sewing machine with the thick thread in the bobbin. Of course you stitch your panel upside down. Now that is freedom for control freak designers.

SNUGGLE BUG RUG

A hand felted baby's blanket for the crib or bassinet. Felt from the heart for that special babe. Made from pure Merino wool with lashings of silk tops to add lustre. Pre-felted hearts and bunny. Embellished with ribbon embroidery and stitchery with a few mother 'o' pearl buttons. Quilted throughout the blue/mauve section and lined with fresh green check cotton. Completely washable. What an heirloom.

BALTHAZAR

A Wise Man
Designed by Anne Huntley of Room For Threads using Colour Streams hand dyed silk fabrics, threads and ribbons.
Dressed in a richly embellished and bejewelled crazy-patch frock in shades of purple and magenta with an overcoat of rich velvet. Over the coat is a rich yellow/gold patchworked tabard again embroidered and beaded and finished with a fine beautiful macrame fringe. He stands as he humbly presents his gift of myrrh presented in a beautiful gold and purple needlelace box.
Size: 55cm or 22 inches tall.
