"ORGANIC EMBROIDERY" WEEKEND RETREAT BY JENNIFER CLOUSTON

Artist, author and sought-after tutor, Jennifer Clouston is returning again to Colour Streams to teach her new and exciting "Organic Embroidery" workshop. Join Jenny as she guides you through the process of "organic embroidery" - creating an embroidery that is unique to you!

In this creative workshop, you will be free from working from a prescribed pattern, and will use the threads and colour palette chosen by you! You will be working with Colour Streams stunning hand-dyed threads, silk ribbons and linen that are all dyed in the very same Studio that this Workshop is being held.

Jennifer's trademark is a modern and playful take on traditional embroidery. Preferring a freehand approach to embroidery, Jennifer designs new and original stitches by taking traditional embroidery and giving it a modern twist. Her goal is to encourage fellow quilters and stitchers to take risks and create from their own individuality.

Jenny will be your guide as you develop your own colour palette, design as you go and surprise yourself with your ability to work intuitively, without a roadmap. In this workshop, you will be encouraged to take risks and create from your own individuality and uniqueness while enjoying the company of other like-minded creatives. Her fun Organic Embroidery Workshop caters for all skill levels.

*Please note, if you do not wish to attend the dinner on Friday or Saturday night, the weekend retreat cost is $465.

Your Class Kits will not be prepacked. Each student will have the fun task of selecting their own colour palette. You will choose colours for the following items - linen, silk ribbons, Rana cotton thread, sequins and beads.

Please bring your embroidery hoop, embroidery scissors, portable stitching light (if required) and any other favourite tools! Please note that we do have hoops available for purchase if you prefer working with a hoop.
