Colour Streams presents a small group tour of 10 nights and 11 days. Christine has selected her favourite experiences within the Golden Triangle which will immerse you in the tastes, touch and life of the region. Discover the beauty and artisanal skill of crafts men and women, attend textile workshops, see exquisite handicrafts, view extraordinary architecture and palaces, experience local cuisines, shop for textiles, and take home new ideas and extraordinary memories!
Artist, author and sought-after tutor, Jennifer Clouston is returning again to Colour Streams to teach her new and exciting "Organic Embroidery" workshop. Join Jenny as she guides you through the process of "organic embroidery" - creating an embroidery that is unique to you!
In this creative workshop, you will be free from working from a prescribed pattern, and will use the threads and colour palette chosen by you! You will be working with Colour Streams stunning hand-dyed threads, silk ribbons and linen that are all dyed in the very same Studio that this Workshop is being held.

Whether you need a larger house for a group or a cosier single room in an island garden, please book directly with provider. We are happy to pass on a list of recommended places to stay.

To ensure the retreat is rewarding for everyone including Jennifer, we have capped attendance at 15 participants so PLEASE - BOOK SOON!
MEALS
All your meals and most drinks during your stay are included. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies.

Please note that we are offering a reduction of $60 if you choose to not stay for Friday and Saturday dinner.
SUNDAY NIGHT
If you wish to stay over on Sunday night, please let us know as we will need to organise meals for you as Sunday night on the island tends to be very quiet and most eateries are closed.

Please register by Friday the 6th of October with a $50 non-refundable deposit. Please note you must decide on which colour Linen you'd like so that we can dye it prior to the weekend. See details in "Design-Your-Own Kit" section above.

Colour Streams are thrilled to be welcoming Wendy Williams for our next retreat.
Wendy has been working in the quilting industry as a designer and teacher for over 15 years. In 2014 her first book was published with C&T in the U.S. titled ‘Wild Blooms and Colorful Creatures’. Having a degree in adult education has led her to teaching all over Australia and internationally.
Enjoy a full day learning how to create the beautiful Paper Flowers embroidery with it's designer Michaela Olsen at the studio at Colour Streams on Macleay Island, QLD.
You will be using our variegated textiles, threads and ribbons - all natural fibres and all hand-dyed at our studio.
Spend a day on Macleay Island in beautiful Moreton Bay in QLD, creating a Textile Collage that reflects the beauty and diversity of the underwater world surrounding our beautiful islands using variegated textiles, threads and ribbons hand-dyed at Colour Streams.
We'll also be using a range of other materials including wool tops, silk cocoons, beads, fruit nets, Tyvek and sweet wrappers. Your only limitation will be your imagination as you use a range of techniques including simple stitching, embroidery, burning and beading!
This class is suitable for anyone over the age of 8 and all levels of experience.
If you’ve ever wanted to try embroidery or even reintroduce yourself to it, then this is a great class to join! The class is suitable for anyone over the age of 8 and you will be learning to transfer the designs onto your bag and then embroider in several simple but beautiful stitches!
