Who's Inspiring Us ......

Colour Streams invited Kerrie Sawyer from "Through The Magic Door" to share about her journey as an artist. Kerrie has a background in ceramics, decades of experience working with textiles and a wonderful eye for colour. Her little Fae characters that Fae is well known for are really delightful and seem to belong in a natural Fairy Wonderland. 

We asked Jennifer Clouston (artist and teacher of Textile Arts and Embroidery) to introduce herself to our viewers and give us a summary of her Artist Journey. We wanted to find out what inspires Jennifer and how does she use Colour Streams Textiles in her projects. 

What inspires you in making your work?

"'I am not so much inspired as I am driven to create; it is what I need to do; creating organically and free from expectations. Colour is a HUGE inspiration for me. It is where I begin. If we do not have a great colour palette then we have nothing (in my opinion)........''
